Our Trainer - Sempai Shehan S Munaweera
Sempai Shehan S Munaweera is a passionate and dedicated sports professional with a strong background in exercise science and coaching. Currently serving as a government school sports coach, he combines academic excellence with hands-on experience in multiple disciplines to support student-athletes in their physical and personal development.
He holds two specialized diplomas—one in Exercise & Sport Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya, and another in Sport Coaching from the National Institute of Sports Science (NISS). His certifications further include Level 1 coaching in Boxing and Athletics, as well as a professional credential in Sports Nutrition from the Nutrition Society of Sri Lanka.
With a martial arts journey rooted in discipline and perseverance, Sempai Shehan is a 1st Kyu Brown Belt in Full Contact Karate. His competitive spirit has earned him national recognition, winning silver in 2018 and gold in 2019 at the National Full Contact Karate Championships.
As an instructor at Nordic HQ Dojo Matale, he is committed to nurturing the next generation of martial artists and athletes through structured training, positive mentorship, and holistic development.
